We're not just another gym with fancy equipment and motivational posters plastered everywhere. Mythral Lion Fortress started in 2018 when a bunch of us powerlifters got tired of commercial gyms telling us we couldn't drop weights or grunt during heavy lifts.
Because this place became our sanctuary. Somewhere you can show up, be yourself, throw some serious weight around, and nobody's gonna judge you for chalk dust or loud breathing. We've built something real here.
Look, we specialize in strength training and powerlifting because that's what we know best. Been competing for years, coached dozens of lifters from total beginners to provincials-level athletes. We've made every mistake in the book so you don't have to.
Whether you're prepping for your first meet or just wanna get stronger without the usual gym BS, we've got your back. Real coaching, not some cookie-cutter program downloaded from the internet.

We're all about lifting heavy and keeping it real
Head Coach & Founder
Started lifting in high school, got hooked on powerlifting in my twenties. Hit a 1850lb total at 220lbs bodyweight back in 2019. These days I'm more focused on coaching than competing, but I still pull heavy every week 'cause it keeps me honest.
Been coaching since 2015 and learned more from my athletes than any certification course ever taught me. Everyone's different, and that's what makes this job interesting.
Senior Powerlifting Coach
Won nationals in the 63kg class three years running. Deadlift's my jam - pulled 485lbs at 138lbs bodyweight, which still blows my mind when I think about it. Joined the Fortress crew in 2020 and haven't looked back.
I work mostly with our women lifters but honestly coach anyone who's willing to put in the work. Big believer in proper technique over ego lifting - seen too many injuries from folks trying to impress people who don't even care.
Strength & Conditioning Specialist
Former college football player who transitioned into strength coaching after my knees said "nope" to another season. Got my CSCS certification but honestly learned more hanging around good coaches and asking stupid questions.
I handle our athletic performance training and work with folks recovering from injuries. Not a physiotherapist but I know how to program around limitations and get people back to doing what they love.
Stats don't lie, but they also don't tell the whole story. Here's what we've accomplished together:
Strength training isn't rocket science, but it does require consistency, patience, and someone who'll call you out when you're slacking or doing something dumb.
We don't promise overnight transformations or miracle programs. What we do promise is solid coaching based on actual experience, a supportive environment where effort matters more than numbers, and equipment that won't break when you're going for a PR.
Everyone starts somewhere. Some of our best lifters couldn't even squat the bar properly when they first walked in. Now they're hitting weights they never thought possible. That's what keeps us doing this.
"Come in, work hard, leave stronger. Everything else is just noise."
Honestly? We just do what works and skip the gimmicks
Month-to-month memberships. If we're not delivering value, you shouldn't feel trapped. Been at this long enough to know that good service keeps people around, not legal paperwork.
We've got Eleiko bars, calibrated plates, proper power racks with safeties. When you're maxing out, equipment quality actually matters. No wobbly benches or bars that bend weird.
All our coaches are active in the sport. We're not just teaching from textbooks - we're dealing with the same struggles, same challenges, same mental battles you're facing.
People stick around here because they've found their tribe. Whether you're hitting depth on squats or just showed up after a rough week, someone's gonna notice and give a damn.
Come check out the gym, meet the team, see if we're a good fit. First session's on us - no pressure, no sales pitch. Just straight talk about your goals and how we can help.
