Look, we're not here to sell your info or bombard you with spam. This gym's built on trust and sweat equity. We collect what we need to run a solid facility and keep our members safe. That's it. No corporate nonsense.
When you sign up with us or book sessions, we're gonna need some basics:
We're pretty straightforward with this. Your information helps us:
We don't sell your data to marketing companies or share it with random third parties. Period.
We keep your data locked down tight. The only folks who get access are:
Our Coaching Staff: Your trainers need to see your health history, progress notes, and program details to coach you properly and safely.
Administrative Team: Front desk and management handle membership info, billing, and scheduling.
Service Providers: Payment processors, email systems, scheduling software. They're bound by their own privacy policies and data protection agreements.
Legal Authorities: Only if we're legally required to disclose information by Canadian law or court order.
We're not messing around when it comes to protecting your data:
No system's 100% bulletproof, but we're doing everything reasonable to keep your stuff safe.
Yeah, we've got security cameras throughout the facility. They're there for safety and security reasons - equipment theft prevention, monitoring form during lifts for safety, and general facility security. Footage is stored for 30 days then automatically deleted unless there's an incident that needs review.
Changing rooms and bathrooms don't have cameras. We're not weirdos.
We might send you emails about new programs, schedule changes, or facility updates. If you don't wanna hear from us beyond essential membership communications, just hit the unsubscribe link in any email or tell us at the front desk. We're not gonna be offended.
We'll never spam you with daily emails or sell your contact info to other businesses.
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you've got rights when it comes to your personal data:
Request a copy of what personal info we're holding about you.
Update any inaccurate or outdated information in your file.
Request deletion after your membership ends (we'll keep some records for legal/tax purposes).
Stop us from using your info for optional purposes like marketing.
To exercise any of these rights, just shoot us an email at info@mythralionfortress.info or swing by the front desk. We'll get it sorted within 30 days.
We don't hoard your information forever. Here's the breakdown:
Our website uses basic cookies to remember your preferences and keep you logged into the member portal. We use analytics to see which pages get traffic and how folks navigate the site - helps us make improvements.
We don't use invasive tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser settings can block cookies if you want, but some features might not work as smoothly.
If you're under 18 and training with us, we need parental consent and a parent/guardian signature on all forms. We'll communicate with your parent or guardian about your training, progress, and any concerns.
Youth athlete data gets the same protection as adult members, but we require extra authorization from parents before sharing any information.
Privacy laws and our practices might evolve over time. If we make significant changes to how we handle your data, we'll post the updated policy here and send you an email notification.
The "Last Updated" date at the top tells you when we last revised this document. Check back occasionally if you're curious.
If something in this policy doesn't make sense or you've got concerns about how we're handling your information, don't hesitate to reach out. We'd rather answer questions than have members feeling uneasy about their privacy.
